Terms of Service
A plain-English starter agreement for using StackMap.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using StackMap, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you should not use StackMap.
2. What StackMap Is
StackMap is a software tool that helps users save, organise, import, export, and access links, bookmarks, stacks, categories, and related workspace data.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining access to your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating or using your account.
4. Free and Pro Plans
StackMap may offer free and paid plans. Paid plans may include extra features such as increased limits, cloud sync, advanced import/export, security features, LinkShield access, or other Pro functionality.
5. Payments
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. StackMap does not store your full card details. Pricing, billing intervals, and included features are shown before purchase.
6. Subscriptions and Cancellation
If you subscribe to a paid plan, your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing portal or by contacting support.
7. Refunds
Refunds are handled in accordance with our Billing and Refund Policy and applicable consumer law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
8. Acceptable Use
You must not use StackMap to store, distribute, organise, or promote unlawful, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, malicious, or security-abusive content. You must not attempt to interfere with StackMap’s systems, security, or other users.
9. User Data
You retain ownership of the data you add to StackMap. You grant StackMap permission to store, process, sync, and display your data only as needed to provide the service.
10. Service Availability
StackMap is provided on an as-available basis. We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
11. Changes to the Service
We may update, change, add, or remove features over time. If a change materially affects paid users, we will aim to provide reasonable notice where practical.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StackMap is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service.

14. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures you are entitled to a refund or replacement, and for minor failures you are entitled to a free repair. Nothing in these Terms restricts, limits, or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia.
